The tail is the widest of our whale tail pendants at 16.50 x 22.00 mm, and the inside of both flukes is filled with small round beads in a soft pearl white. Against polished silver they read matte rather than sparkling, which is the point - the piece has weight and presence without the glitter you get from a stone set pendant.

The beads are graded so the larger ones sit at the outer edge of each fluke and the smaller ones run toward the center, following the taper of the tail instead of fighting it. Above them the bail carries a short line of clear pave, the one place on the pendant that catches light sharply.
