Not a band - an actual chain. A fine silver cable chain wraps the finger with a small polished cross set into the run of it, and two silver beads slide along the tail to pull it tight.

Because it is chain rather than a solid ring, it moves with the finger instead of pressing on it, and the slider means one ring covers a range no fixed size can: from a size 3 pinky to a size 9 index. There is no clasp to fail and nothing to catch. At 0.35 g it is the lightest thing in the ring case, which is the whole appeal - you can wear it on the finger a rigid band would never sit comfortably on.
