We print your picture inside the projection bead and engrave the paw by hand — leave the name blank for a plain polished paw. Faces read best when they fill the frame, so a close-up works better than a wide shot.
How to see the picture: hold the bead close to your eye and look toward a light; or point your phone camera at the bead and look at the screen; or, in a dark room, shine your phone's flashlight through the back of the bead onto a wall.

What photo works best for projection?
High-resolution photos with clear faces, good lighting, and a simple background project most clearly. You position and preview your photo right on this page before adding to cart, so you control exactly how it is cropped and framed.
Is the projection visible without a flashlight?
The image is brightest under direct light from a phone flashlight or LED. Under normal indoor lighting it appears as a subtle inner detail — the projection effect is the main "wow" feature you reveal on demand.
Can the photo wash off or fade?
No. The image is permanently encased inside the gemstone — water, sweat, and daily wear will not affect it. As with all fine jewelry we recommend removing before showering or swimming as a general care practice.
